Footage surfaces of Klopp’s mental reaction when a fan ruined Liverpool’s last attack in Palace draw

During Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday, Jurgen Klopp was enraged by a late pitch invader.

Following the draw at Anfield, the Reds drew their second consecutive match this season.

Klopp’s team fell behind to a breakaway goal by Wilfried Zaha in the first half.

In the 57th minute, Darwin Nunez planted a headbutt on Palace defender Joachim Andersen, effectively ending Liverpool’s chances of victory.

However, Liverpool were level within minutes, thanks to a sensational equaliser from Luis Diaz.

For the final half-hour, the home team piled forward in search of a winner.

They huffed and puffed, but as injury time approached, they still hadn’t found a winner.

And, as they were preparing their final attack of the game during the four minutes of injury time, a Liverpool fan invaded the pitch, forcing the game to be called off.

It snuffed out any momentum Liverpool was attempting to build and was met with boos inside Anfield.

However, you may not have seen Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s reaction.

Footage has emerged of him going completely insane at the fan in question, knowing that he’d just cost his team a last-ditch attack.

Take a look at this:

Sam Matterface, a talkSPORT commentator, explained why Klopp was so enraged while covering the game.

“There’s an idiot on the pitch,” talkSPORT’s co-commentator for the match Matterface said.

“The referee now has to stop the game and that idiot is now being barracked by Jurgen Klopp.

“He is being shouted at and screamed at by the German manager, because he has just cost his team the chance of fashioning an attack in the last few seconds of a Premier League game that they are not going to win now.”

On Monday night, Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in search of their first victory of the season.

United have lost both of their first two games, and both clubs will be desperate to beat their rivals and kick start their 2022/23 season.
