Fabrizio Romano shares huge news on FIVE Chelsea transfers

Chelsea have a lot of business to do before the transfer window closes in three and a half weeks, and Fabrizio Romano has brought us an update on five potential deals that the Blues are currently working on.

Chelsea has had a strange summer.

The Blues were unable to plan ahead due to Roman Abramovich’s sale of the club to a consortium led by Todd Boehly, which has had ramifications.

To begin, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel saw key first-team players such as Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave on free transfers after their contracts expired.

Then there was a rush to replace them and improve the team.

Chelsea has now made some notable acquisitions.

Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Marc Cucurella have all arrived and will immediately strengthen the first team.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has brought in talented young players such as Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson, and Gabriel Slonina as part of their long-term plans.

Tuchel and Boehly’s transfer work, however, is not finished.

The Premier League season has begun, with Chelsea defeating Everton 1-0 in their first game.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer insider, the Blues are still working on five deals – three possible outgoings and two potential new arrivals.

In his latest YouTube video, Romano said: “Marcos Alonso, not in the squad for the Everton game because he’s really close to joining Barcelona.

“Barca are closing on this deal. I told you on Friday night that the deal is really close to being completed. The fee will be less than €10million. And so, Marcos Alonso has an agreement since April with Barcelona on personal terms and could be the next Barca signing.

“[Callum] Hudson-Odoi, he was not on the list for the squad [for the Everton game] too. Why? Because Leicester have an interest since long time. He was discussed as a potential part of the [Wesley] Fofana deal, but at the moment it’s not the case.

“And, Southampton, leading the race I am told – exclusive news – Southampton are trying to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan from Chelsea. Negotiations [are] ongoing.”

Talking about potential deals for players joining the club, Romano continued: “Let’s remind [ourselves] about Wesley Fofana. They [Chelsea] did a second bid, more than £70million, add-ons included.

“Let’s remind [ourselves] about Wesley Fofana. They [Chelsea] did a second bid, more than £70million, add-ons included.

“Leicester said no, they want way more than this and they hope to keep the player. But Chelsea will be back. Contacts are ongoing also during the weekend and Chelsea will be back next week.

“Chelsea will insist for Wesley Fofana, the player would be open to joining Chelsea, so it’s up to Chelsea now to find an agreement with Leicester. Keep an eye on [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, because he could be part of the conversations between the two clubs.”

Finally, Romano said: “Benjamin Sesko, there was a meeting of his agent with Chelsea one week ago.”

However, the journalist went on to say that Chelsea are not the only club interested.

Manchester United and RB Leipzig are both interested in the promising Red Bull Salzburg striker and have spoken with his representatives.
