Fabrizio Romano discloses Mason Mount’s priority in the face of Chelsea sanctions and takeover
Chelsea is currently in a state of disarray due to government fines imposed on owner Roman Abramovich, forcing him to sell the club.
The transaction is likely to close soon, and things should become lot clearer about what the future will look like, as well as the ship’s stability.
However, there has been ongoing uncertainty and rumours about the future and the future of some of the players up to that point.
Mason Mount’s future has also been called into question, and he has been linked with a move away.
However, Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside today that despite the current scenario, the English midfielder remains dedicated to Chelsea.
Mount’s objective has always been to stay at Chelsea, according to Romano, and there are no doubts about his dedication to the club.
Mason Mount’s main goal has always been to remain at Chelsea.
There are no concerns about his devotion, but his situation, like that of Marcos Alonso, Jorginho, and N’Golo Kante, will be closely scrutinized.
In truth, all of these players have been waiting for months to discuss contract extensions with Chelsea, but nothing has changed; the sanctions have hindered the contract renewal process.
Mason Mount’s contract is still outstanding, but the club will make it a priority to extend his and N’Golo Kante’s contracts, while Alonso is likely to return to Spain. Mount is not currently in talks with Liverpool or Manchester City.
