‘Everywhere I go now’ Jack Grealish discloses what people always ask him about “unbelievable” Erling Halaand

Jack Grealish believes he can learn from his teammate who is dominating the Premier League and English soccer.

Grealish is fully aware that Erling Haaland is a popular name among fans, as he is constantly asked about the Norwegian star.

And Grealish believes he can learn from the 21-year-old scoring prodigy in order to increase his own goal-scoring output.

“Everywhere I go now – whether it be family, friends, people in the street – they always say “what’s he like?” … and I can’t speak highly enough of him,” said Grealish.

“He is an unbelievable player and a brilliant person, so humble for what he has achieved already.

“And could you get anything off him? I actually think I could. “His mindset for scoring goals is unbelievable. If I could get that. I came here and I spoke to (England coach) Steve Holland and he said ‘was that actually you at the back stick scoring?’

“(He said it) because that’s something that I’ve not been known for but it is something that I want to do more often. If I could take anything (from Haaland), it would be that.”

The goal Holland was referring to was Grealish’s first goal of the season, which he scored against Wolves last Saturday, much to the 100 million pound man’s relief.

. He said: “The first two, three games in the Premier League season are always difficult because you just don’t feel 100% fit. To get an injury in the second game, it wasn’t the best.

“Since then I’ve just been trying to build up my fitness. I obviously had a fair bit of stick about my performance against (Borussia) Dortmund, so it was a nice way to reply on Saturday.”

Some onlookers have questioned if Grealish could ever adjust to Pep Guardiola’s style and demands.

But the former Aston Villa captain gave a simple explanation about not being the regular star man at City, saying: “In the last three, four years before I moved to Manchester City, I knew I was going to play every minute of every game.

“And I was captain there, I was one of the first names on the team sheet. And I’ve come to a club like City – and this is no disrespect to the people I was with at Villa, a brilliant club with very good players – and there’s the likes of Kevin (De Bruyne), Phil (Foden), I could go on and on.

“It’s difficult. We’ve even got a full-back at the moment in Joao Cancelo who I reckon is one of the best wingers in the world! So it’s obviously different, it’s difficult at times, because when I was at Villa for example, I just played every game and you felt like you were in a rhythm.

“But listen, you’re going to get that, when you’re playing at a club with so many top players. As long as we’re training well and we’re playing well, it’s alright.”
