The club coach Ancelotti later said for his team to have a chance in competing at European competitions, they needed to improve on their home run with such a performance and victory being crucial in making such a comeback.
Ancelotti noted that his team is very close to the top-four finish but views the season is still long and they have to steak to their goal, which is playing at the Europa League next season. Everton will need a win over West Brom on Thursday to climb up into the top four.
