Europe’s top earners in football ranked as unlikely player beats out Haaland and Lewandowski for high paycheck

Eden Hazard has been placed in a higher position than Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland on the list of highest-earning players in Europe.

When he played for Chelsea, Hazard progressed into one of the top wingers in global football, leading him to transfer to Real Madrid for a large sum of money in 2019.

Unfortunately, his stint at the Bernabeu has been significantly affected by injuries and a lack of good form, and his overall time with Madrid has been regarded as unsuccessful.

Despite his struggles, Eden Hazard is still part of Carlo Ancelotti’s team, and according to French news outlet L’Equipe, he remains among the highest-paid footballers in Europe.

The report states that Hazard earns an annual gross salary of €27 million, which is more than Robert Lewandowski’s €26 million and Erling Haaland’s €22 million.

It’s not surprising that the three highest earners are Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe is the top earner with an impressive salary of €72 million, while Neymar comes in second with €44.1 million, and Messi in third place with €40.5 million.

According to L’Equipe, the highest-paid footballer in the Premier League is Kevin De Bruyne, who plays for Manchester City and ranked seventh on the list with a salary of €23.4 million.
