Erling Haaland strikes personal terms settlement with Chelsea FC.
As the transfer window gathers pace, Borussia Dortmund’s fecund young striker Erling Haaland has consented to terms with English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea.
The 20-year-old Norwegian has been attracting interest from many clubs across Europe this summer as his £68 million ($95.9 million) release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.
The Blues have long been associated with the forward, and recent progress regarding the situation have put them in the lead for signing Haaland.
All they need now to get him to join the club this summer is to agree on a transfer price.
Therein rests the problem.
Dortmund reportedly has over a £150 million ($211.7 million) asking value for the striker, who has been on an arrogant tear in the Bundesliga.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and head coach Thomas Tuchel have reportedly been pretty attached to the striker and his body of work thus far.
A switch to the Premier League could possibly make Chelsea a lock in the top four of the ranks.
Should Abramovich bring out his checkbook and make the settlement with Dortmund, Haaland will be entering a highly-talented strikers’ lineup of Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, and Olivier Giroud.
Werner and midfielder Kai Havertz have strived to convert scoring chances in their first year with the club.
Abraham and Giroud, who had just signed a new deal, could find a new home in order to lessen the blow of the possible Haaland venture.
Sensibly, Chelsea is still deliberating over what to do next.
The fate of Tottenham Hotspur starlet Harry Kane is still up in the air, and the Blues may want to examine signing the 27-year-old for lesser fees but with proven scoring ability in the Premier League.
Chelsea has never been this near to signing the young Norwegian, and a dash this summer will surely help strengthen their run for another champion League title and to the top of Premier League standings.
