Erik ten Hag facing Manchester United sack if the club is bought by a Qatari group

If a Qatari group acquires  Manchester United  in the coming months, manager Erik ten Hag could be fired.

Chris Woerts, a sports marketer, believes that any Qatari group that acquires the club will want to make sweeping changes to the organization.

Manchester United are currently for sale, with the club’s current owners, the Glazer family, willing to relinquish control or accept new investment.

There are a number of interested parties, and English reports indicate that Qatar’s sovereign investment fund may be among them.

In the coming months, they are exploring the possibility of purchasing a minority stake in a Premier League club, as opposed to a complete takeover.

According to the same report, the emir of Qatar is believed to be a fan of Manchester United, causing shares of the club’s stock to increase by 14% on the New York Stock Exchange.

These rumors are unlikely to subside in the upcoming months, and Woerts believes that if they were to invest, Ten Hag would be forced to leave.

“There is a big battle going on between the Qatari side and Jim Ratcliffe,” he told Today Inside, relayed by Soccer News.

“If the Qatari’s take over, you will get the same situation as with Manchester City at the time. There it is a kind of FC Barcelona two.

“They put their own management, their own coach and their own commercial director. Then there really will be their own team.

“He is only six months in. 100% sure the Qatari’s will put their own people there.
