‘Ends up at Manchester City’ – Journalist reveals what he’s been ‘told’ about ‘monster’ player

According to journalist Mike Keegan, Manchester City has held “conversations” with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham ahead of a possible 2023 transfer.

Despite still having three years remaining on his contract at Signal Iduna Park, the Bundesliga star’s performances have attracted the attention of several potential suitors. He is currently one of the most sought-after talents in world football.

Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool, in addition to the Sky Blues, are rumored to be interested in the 19-year-old.

According to reports, Real Madrid are currently in the lead, but an encouraging update has just been released that will excite fans.

Keegan revealed via  Twitter that City have begun formal negotiations with Bellingham, and that the club’s connection to Dortmund following the transfer of Erling Haaland could prove advantageous in the pursuit of his signature. He wrote:

“Those with knowledge of the situation reckon Jude Bellingham ends up at Manchester City. Relations between both clubs very strong post-Haaland & told initial conversations have been held. A great World Cup may price him out this summer but he’s not seeing out his contract.”

Bellingham would be the ideal replacement for Ilkay Gundogan, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season. He has already been dubbed a “monster” by the media, so he would be the ideal choice.

The England international has scored nine goals and provided two assists in all competitions, while averaging 2.2 shots per league match (WhoScored).

Bellingham has previously served as captain of Dortmund, making him a direct replacement for the City veteran at the Etihad.
