Edu handed opportunity to solve key Arsenal dilemma by signing Arsene Wenger’s dream Liverpool superstar

Arsenal’s excellent start to the season, with two wins from two games, has helped calm fans’ nerves in the final weeks of the transfer window.

Despite this, it is critical that Edu looks to add depth to Arsenal’s midfield.

Youri Tielemans appeared to be the player who would be signed, but negotiations have stalled in recent weeks.

Edu can, however, explore Naby Keita’s troubling contract situation at Liverpool, as the Guinea international has halted contract talks at Anfield.

Mikel Arteta would benefit greatly from Keita’s ability to play as a No.8 heading into the season.

He also has enough talent to compete with the starting midfielders.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are two players whose positions in the team are currently secure.

Albert Sambi Lokogna and Mohammed Elneny are the backup players, but their experience and quality levels do not compare to the two starters.

While Keita is unlikely to be an automatic starter, he would bridge the gap between the backup midfielders and the starting players in the middle of the field.

It is unquestionably a transfer that Edu should explore.

Keita is dissatisfied with his current situation at Liverpool, according to  Sky Deutschland.

The midfielder wants to play more and is hesitant to discuss a new contract at this time.

Despite the speculation about his future, Jurgen Klopp has addressed the speculation about his possible transfer situation.

The Liverpool manager said: “I have to respond on ‘news’ but if you learn on my side 0.0% is behind the news. He was ill, now he is in training and looking good. Not a player overly happy when he’s not playing, but all fine.”

Arsenal were linked with Keita before he joined Liverpool in 2018. Keita revealed in the summer of 2016 that he spoke with Arsene Wenger.

Keita said via the Sun: “I didn’t speak with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp but I had a phone conversation with Arsene Wenger, who spoke French to me. Yet I chose Leipzig as they have great potential and I didn’t yet want to join a big Champions League club.”

The midfielder has won the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool.

With one year left on his current contract, Edu should look to make a transfer because he could be signed for a bargain due to his contract situation.
