Eden Hazard apologizes for the moment with Chelsea players.

Hazard was publicly criticized by fans of the European giants after they were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals with a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
The former Chelsea winger was one of the most active players in Zinedine Zidane’s line-up, but couldn’t do enough to prevent Timo Werner and Mason Mount’s goals from granting Chelsea to the final of the Champions League competition.
Despite humiliating results, Hazard’s action after the final whistle had both Real Madrid fans and the Spanish press venting steam from their ears in anger.
The Belgian winger was seen smiling and joking with Edouard Mendy and Kurt Zouma at full-time, raising suspicions that he wasn’t taking such a crucial game for Real seriously.

In fact, footage of Spanish television show El Chiringuito immediately went viral for its incriminating evaluation of Hazard’s actions complete with serious expressions and overdramatic music.
While the response has certainly been over the top in places, there’s no disputing that such a convivial exchange didn’t reflect favorably after such a crucial and crushing defeat for Los Blancos.
However, Hazard has sought to explain the circumstances and resist those suggestions by posting an apology message on his Instagram story less than 24 hours after the crushing loss.

After all, Real Madrid fans got to credit Hazard for taking the blame for his actions and it unquestionably feels like the situation has been exacerbated because of his overall career in Spain.
Besides, injury after injury after injury have made for a cruel two seasons at the Bernabeu, restricting him to just 40 appearances and four goals for the 13-time European champions.
As a result, the sight of Hazard joshing about with his former teammates was always going to go down like a lead balloon, adding more coal on the current narrative of his Spanish endeavor.
