“Done deal” – Fabrizio Romano issues fresh Manchester United transfer update

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano,  Manchester United  will announce the arrival of Tyrell Malacia after the second portion of his Old Trafford medical is finished today.

The Feyenoord left-back will be the club’s first signing since Erik ten Hag took over as manager at the end of last season.

Manchester United have already signed deals with Feyenoord for the sale of Malacia, according to Romano.

The five-cap Netherlands international is expected to fly into  for  his medical, with the remaining tests scheduled for Monday morning.

The Red Devils agreed to terms with Feyenoord earlier this week, with the Premier League club willing to pay up to £14.6 million for Malacia.

Manchester United  will announce the arrival of Tyrell Malacia after the second portion of his Old Trafford medical is finished today.

The 22-year-old looked poised to join Ligue 1 club Lyon after a bid was accepted, but Manchester United outbid them.

Malacia was a regular in Feyenoord’s backline last season, making 50 games and contributing six goals in the process.

Malacia will be unveiled as a new Manchester United player soon, according to Romano.

The transfer guru understands that all of the paperwork have been completed and that the only reason his arrival has yet to be disclosed is that he has medical tests to complete.

However, he does not anticipate any further issues, and as a result, the Dutchman’s arrival could be made public today.

Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “Malacia is a done deal. We’re just waiting for the second part of the medical to take place on Monday and then it will be done, but everything is almost completed.”

Manchester United ended 13 points in behind leads in the race for Champions League qualifying last season, owing in large part to their poor defensive record.

Ten Hag has already concluded that selling Brandon Williams for £10 million will not solve his problem, but allowing him to depart Old Trafford might leave the Red Devils light in that area of the pitch.

The Dutchman’s only options would be Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, and teenager Alvaro Fernandez, although Malacia has demonstrated his ability to jump to the front of the queue.

He had an average match rating of 7.11 last season and might be a wise signing for ten Hag.
