Devastating news for Ten Hag as yet another midfielder doubtful for Fulham match

Scott McTominay, a midfielder for Manchester United, is in danger of missing their upcoming FA Cup match against Fulham on Sunday due to an injury.

The team’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is keen to see his team progress to the semi-finals of the competition, but he will have to do so without several players who are unavailable due to injury or suspension.

One of these players is Casemiro, who will miss the first of a four-game ban following his red card against Southampton. The match will take place at Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho, and Donny van de Beek are still recovering from long-term injuries and are unable to play.

Antony did not attend United’s training session on Friday, and it is uncertain whether he will play against Fulham.

Although Anthony Martial trained with the team, Ten Hag stated that the Frenchman may not be prepared to compete just yet.

Furthermore, the situation in midfield is already dire, and to add to the problem, Ten Hag provided a concerning update on McTominay’s condition yesterday.

The Dutchman said, “As you said, we just returned. We have to see, to see the doc. I have an idea but I have to see the progress with some players.”

“About the last game, that is why I didn’t bring him in, Scott McTominay, [as] he had some complaints.”

“We have to see how that will progress in the coming hours and days.”

With both McTominay and Casemiro unavailable, Ten Hag will need to come up with a solution. Fortunately, Marcel Sabitzer is now available, which will be helpful for Ten Hag.

The Austrian player came off the bench during the match against Real Betis in Spain and performed well.
