De Bruyne frustrates Manchester City fans with injury update
Belgian footballer Kevin De Bruyne, the prominent leader of Manchester City, shared updates about the injury he sustained early in the ongoing season, sidelining him for close to three months.
The injury to his knee occurred during Manchester City’s initial English Premier League game against Burnley in August, which concluded with a 3-0 victory for City.
De Bruyne said, during a brief statement reported by the Belgian network ” HLNSport “I have never experienced this before, I have never had such a serious injury. A hamstring operation is not very common either. After the match against Burnley, we took scans, referred to several surgeons and they all said I needed surgery.
“We are now three months in and I am doing very well, everything is on track. I underwent my surgery with Geert Declercq. City are in daily contact with him and Lieven. But they have not given me a deadline for when I will be able to play football again.
Following his knee injury, De Bruyne underwent surgery in Antwerp, Belgium, which led to his absence from the field for approximately three to four months.
Initial reports from the press suggested that De Bruyne wouldn’t make a comeback to the stadiums before mid-December.
