Cristiano Ronaldo’s next club confirmed as new deal ‘signed’ amid Chelsea transfer talks

Cristiano Ronaldo’s next club confirmed as new deal ‘signed’ amid Chelsea transfer talks

Recent sources suggest that the 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo has picked his next club, effectively ending Chelsea’s pursuit of the former Manchester United  striker.

After Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV, in which he exploded about his employers, he and the club mutually decided to terminate his contract, Ronaldo is now a free agent.

“I feel betrayed, and I felt some people don’t want me here,” The Portugal international said when asked about his predicament at United. “Not just this year, but last year too.”

His future is uncertain, but for now, he is focusing on what could be his final World Cup. The team, led by Ronaldo, advanced to the round of 16, where they will face Switzerland in a matchup for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Although a return to the Premier League is unlikely, he appears to have made a decision on his future club. That’s because, as reported by Marca, the striker has agreed to terms on a 2.5 year contract with Saudi club Al Nassr.

With this contract, he may keep playing well into his 40s and earn a total of £432 million in pay. This is devastating news for the Blues, who have been linked to Ronaldo as a potential solution to their striker difficulties.

To compensate for the gap at center forward, owner Todd Boehly will have to go elsewhere.
