Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United  superstar, has taken to Instagram to thank his teammates for their recent victory.

On Thursday (October 6) night, the Red Devils had to work hard to earn a 3-2 win away to Omonia Nicosia in the UEFA Europa League. Ronaldo started the game and stayed on the field the entire time.

Following the game, the Portuguese legend wrote:

Manchester United made three lineup changes for their match against Omonia. Raphael Varane, who suffered an injury in the 6-3 loss to Manchester City, Scott McTominay, and Marcus Rashford all came off the bench.

Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, and Cristiano Ronaldo were all given starts.

The Red Devils started the game well, but they struggled to capitalize on their opportunities. They were punished in the 34th minute when Karim Ansarifard put Omonia ahead.

Ten Hag introduced Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw at halftime, and the former made an immediate impact, scoring the equalizer in the 53rd minute.

Ten minutes later, Rashford set up another substitute, Anthony Martial, to give United their first lead of the game.

With six minutes remaining, the Englishman scored from Ronaldo’s shot-turned-cross, seemingly settling the match.

But there was another twist in store for Omonia, as Nikolas Panayiotou scored in the 85th minute. United, on the other hand, held on for their second win in the Europa League this season.

With six points from two games, they are now second in Group E, three points behind Real Sociedad, who won 2-0 at Sheriff Tiraspol.
