Cristiano Ronaldo ‘makes contact’ over stunning Old Trafford’s return.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it plain that Manchester United must fix the squad if they are to really contest next season.
United did finish as runners-up in the Premier League but were a further 12 points adrift final champions Man City.
Loss in the Europa League final closed the season on a bitter note, with the manager acknowledging that the starting XI would need to be improved by new arrivals.
“I’ve been delighted with the effort, the desire, the determination of all of the players, I can’t fault them at all,” Solskjaer said in Gdansk.
“But as I said, two or three players to strengthen the starting XI and the squad all together is important for us to go even further.
