Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to  “leg it” at Manchester United after losing his title as “King of the Gym.”

Old Trafford teammates viewed the 37-year-old Portugal icon as the primary strongman for the Red Devils, as he regularly leg-pressed up to 250 kilograms to maintain his powerful pincers.

As a result of Real Madrid’s Casemiro’s arrival in the summer, Ronny, who is known for performing 30 reps at a time, is being compelled to “up up his game.”

The 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder can squat and press close to 300 kilograms, astounding the United players with his strength.

A United insider stated, “Ronny takes a lot of pride in his fitness and how muscular his legs are – few get consistently near the amount and weight he can load up.

“He’s not one for bench pressing, Ronny is a legs man, but it seems he may have met his match with Casemiro – he’s not the biggest guy in the world but he’s as strong as an ox and can push 300kg with his eyes shut.”

At Madrid, Casemiro was renowned for his fitness and power, and he regularly competed against his teammates at the Bernabeu.

Tony Kroos, a former Madrid teammate, had earlier warned United of what they would face.

The Germany star disclosed, “It was impossible not to break a sweat in any situation. He wouldn’t let us relax even in the Turkish bath.

“Just meeting in there was another torment. Cas told someone to go and you almost had exercise bikes and the weights ready.

“A warning for your new colleagues – even the Turkish bath was a gym – you only allow people to lie down when it’s time to do sit-ups!”
