Cristiano Ronaldo extends Man Utd training no-show as United fire a strict warning

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is becoming increasingly uncertain, as rumours of his departure have gained traction in recent weeks, with the striker requesting to leave the club over the weekend.

Earlier, it was claimed that, despite his expressed desire to leave the club this summer, United had issued a strict warning that he must join the team on tour on Friday.

That is becoming less likely by the day after the 37-year-old missed the first day of training on Monday, citing ‘family reasons,’ according to the club.

Now, it’s being rumoured that Ronaldo will miss training again on Tuesday, making him the lone international figure to fail to report at Carrington.

According to  The Athletic, Ronaldo is also not anticipated to arrive at Carrington today. It has also been noted that it is unknown when Ronaldo would return to the team.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is said to have visited with Ronaldo’s agents to discuss a possible transfer, although United insist that their star striker is not for sale.

Ronaldo’s spat with the club is now very public, and any way you look at it, it’s bad for United.

On the surface, it’s understandable why Ronaldo would want to leave the club after only one year, but going on strike, even if this no-show has been portrayed as something else, is an unprofessional gesture and unusual of Ronaldo.

Ten Hag praised the player during his first press conference in May, and supporters have speculated that he could be named captain this summer.

That is almost probably not going to happen anymore, and it appears that he may have played his final game in United red.
