Chelsea’s best and worst routes to Champions League final disclosed as Bayern, Man City & Real Madrid await draw
On Friday, the draw will take place in Nyon, Switzerland to determine Chelsea’s path to the Champions League final in Istanbul.
Chelsea finished at the top of Group E ahead of AC Milan, RB Salzburg, and Dinamo Zagreb, earning them a spot in the knockout stages where they were matched up against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.
Despite losing 1-0 in Germany, Chelsea managed to turn things around and secure a 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge earlier this month, with goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz, propelling them into the quarter-finals.
Chelsea’s goal this season is to surpass their performance from last season under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel, who secured the Champions League title in his first season with the club.
However, their journey was cut short in the semi-finals when they were defeated by Real Madrid in extra time, despite their valiant efforts to stage a comeback at the Bernabeu.
