Benjamin Pavard, a Chelsea target, looks more frustrated with his treatment at Bayern Munich.

In the summer, the 26-year-old was linked to a move to Stamford Bridge, with rumours indicating he was open to the notion. However, an approach from the Blues never materialized.

He’s been first-choice right-back since moving from Stuttgart for £31.5m in 2019, but Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has relegated him to the bench in three of their previous five matches.

He scored after coming on against Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, but Noussair Mazraoui was again favoured against Mainz on Saturday (October 29). (October 29).

And it appears that France international Pavard is unhappy with this decision. Saturday, he was the first player to exit the Allianz Arena, having entered the game at halftime.

Pavard appeared equally irritated in training this morning after having slept on the matter. According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, he was the first player to exit the field once again.

As he walked off the field, he reportedly avoided eye contact with the Bayern coaches after a “frustrating performance.” Plettenberg noted that there are no active negotiations to extend his current term beyond 2024.

Pavard has pushed to play as a center defender, but Nagelsmann has other choices at that position. Therefore, it appears he may have to depart to achieve his goal.

Graham Potter would welcome defensive reinforcements, especially next summer, when veteran Thiago Silva is expected to go.
