Olivier Giroud agrees deal to join AC Milan.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has agreed on a deal to join AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The 34-year-old’s deal was due to lapse at the end of this month but Chelsea triggered an option to prolong the striker’s deal for another year.

However, the Champions League holders are still open to selling Giroud this summer and AC Milan are leading the race for the France international.

According to Sky Italia, Giroud has now agreed a two-year contract with AC Milan worth €3.5 million (£3m) a year plus bonuses.

Paris Saint-Germain are firmly in pole position to sign Achraf Hakimi ahead of Chelsea.

Paris Saint-Germain are tight in pole state to sign Achraf Hakimi ahead of Chelsea, with the French club supposed to make Inter a cash-only offer close to Inter’s €80 million valuations for the Moroccan this week.

Both clubs wafted offers with the Nerazzurri which they believed would persuade the club to part with the Moroccan, with Chelsea, in particular, hoping that offering players in return would be enough to reach an agreement.

However, Inter have always preferred a cash-only offer as a means of meeting their estimate of the player, and it seems that PSG are the club prepared to make an offer that Inter will accept.

Chelsea forward eventually departs Stamford Bridge permanently after seven loan spells.

Chelsea do have an impressive recruitment system where they stockpile players to sell for value, but it unavoidably suggests that some careers will deteriorate as players just bounce from loan spell to loan spell.

Izzy Brown is the perfect example as he only made one senior appearance for Chelsea after arriving in 2013, while he also went out on loan seven different times so it was clear that he was never going to get a proper chance.

He’s still only 24 so there’s lots of time for him to settle down and establish himself somewhere, and that opportunity will come with Preston North End next season after they confirmed his signing permanently.

Milan are endeavoring a triple swoop for Chelsea stars.

Milan are endeavoring a triple swoop with Chelsea for Olivier Giroud, Hakim Ziyech and Tiemoue Bakayoko, allege Sky Sport Italia.

They have already agreed personal terms with Giroud, but Chelsea unilaterally activated their clause to extend his deal to June 2022.

The Rossoneri are only prepared to take the France international as a free agent, but there could be other ways around this.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the talks involve a massive triple swoop for Giroud, Ziyech and Bakayoko.

The toughest of the trio to secure is Ziyech, so he’d likely be on loan with an option to buy.

Chelsea have Erling Haaland ‘Plan B’ as Thomas Tuchel targets £36m star at Euro 2020

The Blues have a ‘Plan B’ in the form of Gerard Moreno if they can’t achieve a move for Erling Haaland this summer.

The Blues are keen to sign a striker during the transfer window as Thomas Tuchel seems to add attacking armies ahead of their Premier League title bid next season.

The Chelsea manager believes a goalscoring no.9 is the missing piece of the puzzle with Timo Werner’s difficult debut period at Stamford Bridge and Tammy Abraham tipped to leave the club.

And according to Fichajes, that player is Villarreal’s Gerard Moreno who is currently starring at Euro 2020 with Spain.

Tuchel is said to be a supporter of the 29-year-old who is priced at £36million on transfermarkt with two years remaining on his deal at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

Norwich want to sign Chelsea starlet Billy Gilmour on season-long loan deal

Norwich City are keen to sign Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour on a season loan.

Norwich manager Daniel Farke has a good relationship with Chelsea counterpart Thomas Tuchel and is keen to add the young Scot’s creativity to his midfield.

Gilmour caught the eye with an extraordinary display for Scotland in the goalless draw against England.

He missed Scotland’s encounter with Croatia on Tuesday night after testing positive for Covid.

Chelsea remain favourites to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice

Chelsea re favorites to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

According to Eurosport, Rice is open to the idea of leaving despite the Hammers qualifying to play in the Europa League next season.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been connected to the midfielder, and Rice is fired in joining a Champions League side.

The club believe he is worth more than the £70 million they prized him at last year, and it’s hard to see his admirers paying that amount when they need reinforcements elsewhere.

Chelsea as £150m-rated star edges closer to Real Madrid move

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, with the two clubs now obliging to negotiate a transfer fee.

This huge piece of transfer news comes from journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who has tweeted the latest on the Haaland transfer situation, and it’s not looking too good for Chelsea, who have been associated with the Norway international by football.london and others.

Chelsea will surely have to step up their efforts to land Haaland, with the Blues also not looking like having plenty of a threat up front after a poor first season from both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, while Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud remain out of favour.

Spanish media outlet AS, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail, is reporting that Tuchel is eager to conclude a deal for the powerful Spain international this summer.

According to the same account, Wolves still haven’t succeeded to strike a deal with the former FC Barcelona forward to open the door to a possible exit given that Traore has just two years left on his current deal.
