Chelsea supporters stick anti-Super League banner outside Stamford Bridge.

Some angry Chelsea fans have come out to make their disappointment clear about the new proposed European Super League with a strong banner against it outside Stamford Bridge.
The Blues fans replaced ‘Pride’ in ‘Pride of London’ with ‘Shame’ following the news that Chelsea were among the 12 founding teams signing up to the controversial breakaway ESL competition.
It is now evident that fans remain opposed to the idea and it is yet to be seen whether this big surprising move will go ahead.

The Blues could as well do well to listen to their supporters and resist the urge to cash in on this opportunity at the expense of the rich history and tradition of the English and European game.
This comes at a time when Manchester United held an emergency meeting with its players and manager over the same issue, with the United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward coming into a tight situation with United players who were angered by how secretly the board operated.
Ed is believed to have convinced the United squad that the club was operating within their best interests but is understood to have received a ‘lukewarm reaction from the players.
Other clubs said to be in this ESL idea include Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal alongside leading sides from both Spain and Italy.
