Chelsea player reportedly turns down new 6-year-contract offer

The new owners of Chelsea apparently had a player reject a new contract offer last night, according to a report.

Currently, the Blues are attempting to renegotiate contracts with a handful of players whose current agreements are expiring.

The Sun reports that Chelsea attempted to offer Edouard Mendy a 6-year extension to his current contract, despite the fact that Edouard Mendy’s current term is not close to expiration.

AC Milan, Nice, and Monaco all have an interest in acquiring Mendy.

Given that Graham Potter has not been selecting Mendy as his usual number one, I find it hard to believe that they have recently offered him a six-year contract. I would take this with a grain of salt at this time.
