Chelsea owner Todd Boehly reacts awkwardly to win over Leeds United

As the final whistle blew, Chelsea’s win brought a sense of relief and eased some pressure off Graham Potter after a series of poor performances.

Wesley Fofana’s header secured the victory for the Blues against Javi Gracia’s team, who are in danger of being relegated.

This win was only Chelsea’s third in 16 games, while Graham Potter’s team struggled to meet expectations, with only three shots on goal.

This victory was significant for the club, as it was their first win in eight games and their second win in 12 games under the leadership of the 47-year-old Potter, who has played in 27 games for the team since taking over from Thomas Tuchel, winning 10 less games than he has lost.

Todd Bohel, a member of the club, watched the hard-fought match from the stands and witnessed his team secure three points. When asked about Chelsea’s performance in their tense victory over Leeds, Boehly gave a brief response consisting of three words.

When questioned about whether he was pleased with what happened in the match, the American businessman responded confidently (as reported by the Daily Mail). ‘It’s a result’ (before smiling)”

The victory has certainly lifted Chelsea spirits as they prepare for the second leg against Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge. While the win was a relief for Potter, the outcome of the match was still disappointing. Despite being in control and creating many chances, The Blues struggled to convert them into goals.

During an impressive opening half-hour, they had several opportunities to score more goals. Kai Havertz was unable to convert a one-on-one situation, Joao Felix hit the crossbar, and Ben Chilwell missed a clear chance to score.

Bohely would undoubtedly expect more from the players and Potter, given his significant investment in the club’s squad. In the upcoming Champions League game, the former Swansea boss will need to deliver to meet his expectations.

Nonetheless, it was encouraging to see the owner in good spirits, even if it was just a slight smile. He surely understands that a run of positive results must start somewhere, and hopefully, this victory will mark a turning point in Potter’s tenure at the club.
