Chelsea now to make bid for £67m man who is “better than Haaland”

Italian football agent Massimo Brambati claims that Chelsea are planning to submit an offer for Dusan Vlahovic, the current No.9 player for Juventus, as Mauricio Pochettino is getting ready to join Stamford Bridge. 

However, Chelsea may encounter strong competition if they want to secure the signing of Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Brambati, aside from Chelsea, there is also interest in Dusan Vlahovic from Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The agent told Tutto Mercato Web Radio: “I know that Vlahovic is being sought by three big names such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid and for what they tell me he will be sacrificed in the summer. In my opinion, Juve will take these offers seriously.”

Chelsea faces a disadvantage in the transfer battle for Dusan Vlahovic due to their inability to offer him Champions League football in the upcoming season. However, their financial strength, which surpasses that of Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid, may give them an advantage in securing the deal. 

The interest in Vlahovic stems from his impressive performance this season, where he has scored 14 goals in 41 appearances. It is worth noting that Vlahovic was acquired by Juventus for a fee of £66.6 million.

Chelsea could sign a gem in Vlahovic

Despite experiencing a relatively disappointing season at Juventus, Dusan Vlahovic is still recognized as a talented striker. It has been suggested that Graham Potter, the manager of an undisclosed team, is a great admirer of Vlahovic’s abilities.

 Additionally, Nenad Bjekovic, the President of the Serbian Football Association, went as far as stating that Vlahovic is superior to Erling Haaland in terms of skill. This praise highlights the high regard in which Vlahovic is held within the football community.

Goal quote the 75-year-old as saying: “Vlahovic is better and more complete than Haaland.”

Indeed, it’s possible to perceive bias in Bjekovic’s statement due to his connection with Vlahovic’s nationality. Nonetheless, his comparison to Erling Haaland is significant. 

Haaland has had an incredible impact on English football, scoring an impressive 52 goals for Manchester City this season. If Vlahovic can even achieve half of that impact, he would certainly be a valuable signing for Chelsea.

 It appears that the situation is worth monitoring, as there are indications that Juventus may be willing to sell their key player during the upcoming summer transfer window.
