Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has ‘dream signing’ on a list of five forwards put to Todd Boehly

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is said to have given new owner Todd Boehly a list of five attackers he wants to replace outgoing flop Romelu Lukaku with this summer, with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski dubbed his “dream signing.”

Tuchel is ready to lose the Belgian on loan to Inter Milan after a disappointing second season at Stamford Bridge.

After paying £97.5 million for Lukaku a year ago, the Blues are enabling him to return to the San Siro on a one-year loan for a fee of roughly £8 million.

The west London club must now find a successor, who may come in the form of their usual links like Raheem Sterling, Richarlison, or Ousmane Dembele.

However, according to the Guardian, the club has nominated Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to head the line, with Tuchel telling club officials that he would be a “dream signing.”

According to the article, a lack of ruthless finishing has been a concern under Tuchel, prompting the club to take action.

Sterling, with his excellent productivity and familiarity with the Premier League, is a top target, but it remains to be seen whether a deal can be struck for the 27-year-old.

Tuchel’s dream player would be Lewandowski, who has made no secret of his desire to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

Dembele, Richarlison, and RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku have also been linked.

The Polish legend has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, which might stymie Chelsea’s pursuit of him.

Tuchel has made him a priority goal, and with Barcelona’s financial situation unknown, the Blues could make a play for his services.

Lewandowski scored 110 goals in his previous 94 Bundesliga games, an unrivalled record that has propelled him to the top of the world’s striker rankings this century.

According to the source, if he does not sign with Tuchel’s side, the German might use Kai Havertz as a false nine and sign more ‘nimble’ players to compensate for the Lukaku problem.

If Chelsea does sign Lewandowski, they might give Manchester City and Liverpool a run for their money with the additions of Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez.

According to the publication, they are also looking for offers for Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, and Hakim Ziyech, who have all showed symptoms of inconsistency at Stamford Bridge.

After failing to impress, the German attacker was replaced by Lukaku, leaving Chelsea without a prolific goalscorer for more than two years.

Meanwhile, Ziyech and Pulisic, particularly the latter, have struggled to adjust to the English game.
