Chelsea make shock decision on future of new signing

Sunday at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea earned a much-needed victory by defeating Crystal Palace by a score of 1-0.

The Blues had won just one of their previous eleven games prior to The Eagles’ visit, but Kai Havertz’s second-half header ensured victory for the hosts.

The team coached by Graham Potter remains in tenth place in the Premier League table, but is now tied on points with their next opponent, Liverpool.

The Blues have been extremely active on the transfer market so far this month, bringing in five new players.

David Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, and Joao Felix have already signed, while Ukraine international Mykhaylo Mudryk was introduced to the club’s fans at halftime of Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Now, it appears that one of Chelsea’s newest additions may already be on his way out.

Football Insider reports that Chelsea will consider offers for winger Raheem Sterling.

The 28-year-old arrived from Manchester City in a £47.5 million transfer last summer, one of the first signings made by the club’s new manager Todd Boehly when he assumed control of the club.

Sterling arrived in London after scoring more than 130 goals and winning 12 trophies in Manchester.

However, after six months at Stamford Bridge, the England international has failed to impress and may be allowed to leave.

Even though the Englishman signed a five-year contract when he joined Chelsea last summer, it is rumored that Chelsea will allow the player to leave for the right price.

Despite making 22 appearances in all competitions this season, Sterling has scored only six goals.

Despite his poor form in front of goal, the Chelsea winger has scored four Premier League goals, second only to Havertz.

Several other Chelsea players, such as Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech, have also been linked to moves away from the club.

The report also suggests that Chelsea’s spending will continue this month, with more new signings expected before the transfer window closes at the end of January.
