Chelsea handed triple injury boost ahead of Aston Villa clash

Three previously injured players have returned to fitness and are available for selection in the upcoming match against Aston Villa, which will be the first game back for both teams after the international break.

Chelsea has been boosted by the return of Raheem Sterling, who resumed training today, and defenders Wesley Fofana and Reece James, who were also seen training at their Cobham training ground.

Chelsea provided confirmation of Raheem Sterling’s return to training through an official update on their website in the afternoon. Meanwhile, Wesley Fofana and Reece James were seen back in training on Fofana’s Instagram Story.

Ahead of the match against Aston Villa, striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was previously dealing with a back injury, was also spotted training.

However, there is unfortunate news for Unai Emery as right-back Matty Cash is set to miss the next three games due to a calf injury he sustained while playing for Poland on international duty.
