Chelsea fresh complain to Premier League after Aston Villa ice creams scene.

The Blues have protested to the Premier League after their entry to Villa Park on Sunday was delayed because of stewards eating ice creams.
According to reports by The Athletic, Chelsea bemoaned the Premier League ahead of their final match of the 2020-21 season kicked off.
Chelsea went on to lose the match to Aston Villa 2-1, but still advanced for next season’s Champions League after their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur hammered Leicester City 4-2.
Chelsea suffered a delay outside Villa Park ahead of the Premier League match on Sunday.
The Daily Mail published on Sunday that this was because the Chelsea team bus did not have consent from Aston Villa’s head of security to allow them entry — with the visiting team blocked from accessing the stadium by stewards eating ice creams with Flakes and raspberry sauce.
The Athletic notes that Chelsea complained to the Premier League before kickoff about the delay.
Chelsea were finally permitted into the stadium but only after a short delay. They contested to the Premier League to have kickoff pushed back, only for the appeal to be declined.

Chelsea Manager Thomas Tuchel is careful in his arrangements for matches, so it’s easy to see why he and Chelsea were so afflicted with what they regarded as unnecessary delay to their arrival at Villa Park – and why they asked for kick-off to be delayed as a result.
The last time Chelsea were made to wait to enter a stadium was last month, when their own fans blocked Fulham Road outside Stamford Bridge in demonstration at the club’s choice to sign up for the European Super League.
On that event kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes, and they went on to perform a likewise underwhelming display in a goalless draw at home with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Broader compassion for Chelsea will be in short supply for many reasons, but the focus of Tuchel and his players will now be on ensuring that preparations for the Champions League final are as seamless as possible.
