Chelsea board ‘split’ on Graham Potter sacking decision as players’ true feelings ‘revealed’

Chelsea manager Graham Potter is under pressure to retain his job in the near future as there are concerns about his performance at Stamford Bridge.

Although football.london reports that Potter still has the support of Todd Boehly and the board, this support may not last if the team continues to lose.

Chelsea is currently in tenth place in the Premier League, but there is still hope that a strong end to the season could result in some form of European competition for the team in the next campaign.

This would allow the management team to continue implementing the new ownership’s philosophy. Potter has acknowledged that he had a meeting with the board on Friday to discuss his position, but he is focused on winning the upcoming match against Leeds.

He told reporters ahead of the game: “There is support and, of course, I’ve spoken to them. But I’m not going to hide behind that.

“The results haven’t been good enough for us and I’m responsible for that. When you’re a coach, if the results are good you accept the criticism and noise that comes with it. My job is to stay with the team, stay focused, try to prepare the team as well as I can, and win the game tomorrow.”

The upcoming match at Stamford Bridge and the subsequent Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund have been described as crucial for Graham Potter and his future as Chelsea manager.

Some reports suggest that he may not have a long-term future with the club, and the Daily Mail has reported that the board is divided on whether or not he should continue in his role.

According to the Daily Mail, some members of the board are skeptical that Potter can improve the team’s performance. The report also suggests that the Chelsea dressing room has mixed feelings about their future under Potter.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Graham Potter’s future, the players under his management have not withdrawn their support for him. However, it is important for the team to secure positive results in the coming weeks to dispel rumors and doubts about Potter’s position.
