Casemiro names out His Favourite Manchester United Teammates

As he settles into life in Manchester, Manchester United star Casemiro has revealed his favorite teammates.

After leaving Real Madrid for a reported £60 million this summer, the former Real Madrid player has made his mark at Old Trafford.

Upon his arrival in Manchester, the five-time Champions League winner reunited with former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane.

Speaking to United’s in-house media at Carrington, the midfielder revealed who he is closest to.

The Brazilian international praised his current teammates and stated that he enjoyed their work environment.

He referred to former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, as well as Brazilian teammates Fred and Anthony.

He said: “I had already played with [Raphael] Varane, Fred, Cristiano [Ronaldo], and Antony. Working with them day to day, you notice what quality players they are.

“Really dedicated, humble, and hard-working. I believe the club is very good in terms of player quality, not just with the players but also with the manager.

“We’re gradually evolving, and we’re on a dynamic run of wins, we’re doing well, that is all really important for us.”

He also mentioned his friendships with Fred, Anthony, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Diogo Dalot. Casemiro stated,

“I’m closest to Cristiano, Diogo [Dalot], Fred, and Antony. I think it’s a relaxed dressing room, everyone works hard and has a lot of respect for the badge, the club, and their teammates. I think hard work is the most important thing. Of course, there’s time for work and then time for joking around, I think that’s what’s most important.”

Casemiro “really surprised” by England fans

During the same interview, the former Real Madrid star discussed his time in England thus far.

When asked about Manchester and its fans, the star expressed his surprise at the level of passion and emotion surrounding the game.

He said: “Not just the city [where everyone is passionate about football], but I think in the entire country, the way the country lives for football, the passion people have for their clubs in England. It’s not too different to Spain. I’ve been really surprised by the fans, surprised by the atmosphere the fans create. I think the way the fans play alongside the players is really important.”
