Bukayo Saka issues honest four-word verdict on Arsenal’s Premier League title chances

Bukayo Saka has acknowledged that Arsenal are starting to believe that they can emerge victorious in this season’s Premier League.

After securing a 4-0 triumph over Everton, with goals from Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal is now five points ahead at the top of the table with 13 games remaining.

Saka has admitted that he and his colleagues are beginning to accept that they are contenders to bring the first league title to north London since Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles in 2004.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, the England international said: “Yeah, we do believe.”

Arsenal’s next match is against Bournemouth at home on Saturday afternoon, followed by a UEFA Europa League knockout game against Sporting CP in Portugal five days later.

The Gunners are keen to have their star striker Gabriel Jesus back in action as soon as possible, as he has been out of action with a knee injury since the 2022 World Cup.

According to football.london, Arsenal is optimistic that Jesus will return to the first-team squad before the international break in late March. Prior to the break, Arteta’s side will face Crystal Palace at home.

Although there is no official timeline for the return of Gabriel Jesus to the field, the Arsenal manager has said that the 25-year-old is making excellent progress. When asked about Jesus’ progress, Arteta stated that he is “doing really well.”

“He’s on the pitch, he’s been doing quite a lot of work on the ball already and so far his rehab is going well.”
