Blow to Ten Hag as Rashford tells European giants that he ‘does not want to continue’ at Old Trafford
According to El Nacional via sportskeeda, Marcus Rashford, a Manchester United forward, has informed the club of his desire to leave and continue his career with Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite being a key player for the Red Devils, having scored 20 goals and provided 8 assists in 33 games, Rashford has decided to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
Throughout his career at Manchester United, Rashford has proven to be a prolific scorer and creator, having scored 113 goals and provided 65 assists in 336 appearances.
According to the report by El Nacional, Rashford has a desire to join PSG and play alongside star striker Kylian Mbappe.
Given PSG’s impressive attacking prowess, they have the capability to attract Rashford away from Old Trafford.
The manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, recently described Marcus Rashford’s recent form as “unbelievable.” According to Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag stated:
“Unbelievable focus in this moment. He’s aware of it, if he’s making the right movements that he, or his team, will bring him in the right positions to score, and then it’s about scoring the goals. In this moment, he’s in such a flow. He brings it every game on the pitch, so if he has that energy, those levels, he will score goals. (The) only thing the team has to do is bring him in those positions.”
Recently, Ten Hag was asked if Rashford would lead Manchester United’s offense against Leeds United. The Dutchman stated (through Metro):
“First off, this game, we analyse it, we will reflect on this game. Then we will see how the team is and then we will start our efforts. I’m very pleased Marcus is scoring from all the positions. You see his stats; he’s scoring from the left, right, middle. It doesn’t matter. He’s always a good option to play on the right. We can move him around and give a different dynamic in a game.”
