‘Biggest mistakes in my life’ – Jurgen Klopp makes huge admission about Tottenham player

‘Biggest mistakes in my life’ – Jurgen Klopp makes huge admission about Tottenham player

Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, has acknowledged that he regrets not signing Tottenham Hotspur sensation Heung-min Son.

Son has become one of the top attacking players in the country, if not the globe, in recent years.

His most recent season, in which he scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists, was his finest yet, as he shared the Golden Boot with Mo Salah.

He joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 for a cost of £22 million, and in 344 games, he has scored 136 goals and given 76 assists.

His start to the season was surprisingly bad, as he struggled to score or assist.

However, one game on the bench helped him restore his form, as he came on to score a sensational hat-trick against Leicester City before scoring back-to-back goals for his country. In 19 games this season, he has 5 goals and 2 assists.

The South Korean, on the other hand, had a terrible injury during the Champions League match against Marseille, breaking his eye socket and putting him a doubt for the 2017 World Cup.

He also missed this weekend’s game against Liverpool, and after the game, Jurgen Klopp made this shocking admission to South Korean station KBS News. He stated (as reported byExpress):

“One of the biggest mistakes in my life was not signing him (Son).”

“Outstanding, world-class, and one of the best strikers in the world.

“I heard he’ll be alright. Maybe need to wear a mask, but even with a mask, he’ll be alright.”

The 30-year-old will be aiming to recuperate in time for the World Cup, and both Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte are convinced he will be ready, which is wonderful news for both Spurs and South Korea.
