BBC pundit has made a ‘really bad’ prediction about Liverpool against Wolves
Chris Sutton attempted to predict this weekend’s Wolves versus Liverpool matchup in his BBC predictions column.
The Reds travel to Molineux on Saturday afternoon, and they will be desperate for a victory.
The Merseyside club’s dismal play necessitates a victory here if they are to maintain even a slender chance of finishing in the top four.
Unfortunately, Sutton does not foresee a Liverpool victory here; he predicts a scoreless draw between these two teams.
The pundit delivered his verdict on how the game will go.
“Liverpool did beat Wolves in the FA Cup last month, but only after a replay when a VAR error saved their bacon late in the first game,” Sutton wrote.
“Both teams made lots of changes too, so it is hard to read too much into what happened in either game when it comes to calling this one.
“It would be easy to think Liverpool’s poor run will continue; I certainly don’t see them bouncing back like they used to under Klopp.
“They are really bad defensively – but I actually think they will be helped by Wolves’ lack of creativity. I don’t trust Wolves to score and that might mean Liverpool escape with a draw.”
In the past, it would have been reasonable to expect Liverpool to steamroll a team like Wolves, but this weekend, they are not favored.
The Reds are currently out of sync, and it’s difficult to see how the Merseyside club will recover.
Liverpool will be hoping for a victory at Molineux, but it will not be easy.
