Bayern to Land Key Man City Player Following Clash with Guardiola
Joao Cancelo, a star player for Manchester City, will move to Bayern Munich in the next few hours. This comes after he got into an argument with Pep Guardiola.
It was reported earlier yesterday that the Portugal international was in talks with the German giants.
This came as a surprise to both City fans and neutrals, as Cancelo has been a key member of Guardiola’s team since he moved to Manchester.
But the Daily Mail later said that the player’s relationship with Guardiola had broken down after City’s FA Cup game against Arsenal last week.
Cancelo was told that he wouldn’t be starting the game at the Etihad. He was furious and threatened to leave the club, but he was told, “No player is bigger than the club.”
The manager had put Rico Lewis, Nathan Ake, John Stones, and Kyle Walker ahead of him in the starting lineup for the previous three games.
Now, the 28-year-old will move on loan to the top team in the Bundesliga until the end of the season. There is an option to buy for £61.5 million in the deal.
