Ballon d’Or 2022 Power Ranking: Benzema, Mbappe, Salah & Mane among 20 favorites

France Football made a significant modification to the Ballon d’Or voting process in March.

The award will henceforth be presented to the greatest player throughout a standard European season rather than a calendar year beginning with the 2021/22 season.

That indicates the players have done everything they can following the conclusion of the Champions League, which Real Madrid won.

The award will be presented in October.

But who are the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or in 2022? Goal has selected the top 20 contenders, which you can see below…

12. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

9. Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid)

In the Champions League final, Courtois made nine saves to defeat Liverpool and help Real Madrid win the title.

8. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

3. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Mane won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and helped Liverpool win two titles. Individually, he scored 29 goals and assisted on five others.

1. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Just hand the trophy to Benzema right now. In 2021/22, he has 47 goals and 15 assists while helping Real Madrid win La Liga and the Champions League. He continues to improve with age.
