Bad news for Arsenal before facing Newcastle
A recent report from the English press today disclosed the potential comeback date for Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian striker from Arsenal who has been absent due to an injury.
Jesus sustained a significant injury during the Champions League game against Seville, forcing him to exit the match prematurely. Consequently, he was sidelined for the Sheffield United match in the 10th round of the Premier League.
Initially anticipated to make a comeback during the upcoming game against Newcastle on Saturday, in the 11th round of the English Premier League, a recent report from “The Sun” suggests that Jesus is unlikely to rejoin Arsenal until December.
As a result, Jesus is set to miss not only the upcoming match against Newcastle but also the games against Burnley and Brentford.
Moreover, there’s a possibility that Jesus might be absent for Arsenal’s Champions League clashes against Sevilla and Lens.
Mikel Arteta Update
Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, has provided information about Jesus’ recovery progress prior to his team’s League Cup match against West Ham on Wednesday evening.
When questioned about the current condition of the Brazilian player, Arteta commented: “With him, I’m not going to put a [timescale] on it because I did it once and got it totally wrong.
“We need to be cautious, treat it in the right way, but he is already pushing. He wants to be back as quick as possible and we need him, so that’s great.”
