Aubameyang was set to start in yesterday’s derby against Tottenham but Arteta made a bold decision to drop him following a disciplinary breach. According to the Mail, the Arsenal captain could face a hefty fine for his behavior.
Aubameyang arrived late for the game forcing Arteta to turn to Nicolas Pepe. He was forced to use Willian and Elneny in his shuffling pack. Aubameyang was forced to watch the game on the bench.
Aubameyang broke silence on Arsenal derby’s win against their bitter rivals on Instagram. He posted a picture of his ecstatic Arsenal teammates and wrote ” North London is Red and that’s it!!!”
Arsenal were able to make a comeback and produce a win without him. The Gabon player earns £350,000 a week and it is not yet known how much he could be fined from this portion of his salary.
