It’s that time once more. On the day of the transfer deadline, anything might happen. For Chelsea to succeed, anything must occur.

The Blues have already completed a flurry of additions this summer and have spent well over £200 million in the process.

Now, though, Todd Boehly must finalize his plans and guarantee that Chelsea’s transfer window closes positively and productively.

In light of this, SportsDias takes a look at what we (subject to interpretation) would consider to be Chelsea’s ideal transfer deadline day.

Sign Aubameyang

Chelsea has been in negotiations with Barcelona for weeks regarding Aubameyang’s transfer. There has been no progress about the striker’s transfer fee or personal terms.

The 33-year-old wants a three-year contract if he moves to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea has floated the possibility of a two-year deal with an additional 12-month option.

According to reports from Wednesday, the Blues are reportedly also contemplating a loan move for the former Arsenal captain.

Sign Zaha

Earlier this week, it was revealed that signing Zaha at this point of the transfer window was doubtful.

This remains true, but if Chelsea could somehow convince Crystal Palace to sell, it would be a very savvy move.

Thomas Tuchel has made no secret of his desire to add another wide attacker to his roster. After a disastrous time with Manchester United, Zaha is rumored to be eager to join Chelsea in order to prove himself at the highest level.

Sign De Jong

Everything currently points to De Jong remaining at Barcelona. Despite heavy interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, he has made no indication he wants to leave the Nou Camp this summer.

If Chelsea could in any way persuade the Netherlands international to leave, it would be a major coup for the Blues, who are currently lacking in the central midfield position.
