Arteta still wants three signings after Martin Odegaard transfer
Arsenal could make three more signings before the summer transfer deadline, according to reports.
With Martin Odegaard’s arrival, Mikel Arteta is also closing in on his primary goalkeeper target, with Arsenal agreeing an initial £24m fee with Sheffield United for Ramsdale.
The 23-year-old’s fee could rise up to £30 if or when he succeeds Bernd Leno as Arteta’s first-choice stopper.
However, there could be more business on the way, in terms of both incomings and departures.
According to Metro Sport reporter Aden-Jay Wood, Arsenal are eyeing one more signing on top of Odegaard and Ramsdale before the August 31 deadline.
The report has led many to discuss whom the final signing of the summer could be, with two possible names at the forefront.
Amid Hector Bellerin’s unpredictable future in north London, Arsenal’s next signing could be directly associated with the Spaniard’s prospective departure.

Arteta could be eyeing a straight swap at right-back, with Barcelona’s Emerson Royal recently associated with a possible move.
The Athletic claim Arsenal are interested in a swap deal and are exploring bringing the Brazilian star to the club.
He only formally arrived at Camp Nou this summer after a two-year stint at La Liga rivals Real Betis.
Another possibility would be a striker, contemplating the uncertain futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
A few possibilities include Lille’s Jonathan David, Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic, Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and Napoli’s Dries Mertens.
With Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun still in his ranks for the season ahead, though, a right-back is apparently higher in Arteta’s priorities for now.
Odegaard and Ramsdale’s arrivals are set to push Arsenal’s summer expenditure to £135m.
One more signing after the duo could tip that figure over £150m, which would most likely demand a good season from supporters and the club board.
