On Saturday, Albert Sambi Lokonga is expected to replace Granit Xhaka in midfield, behind Martin Odegaard. Arteta could start Smith-Rowe alongside Xhaka instead of Odegaard.
However, given that Arsenal and other Premier League clubs can name nine substitutes, Azeez is likely to sit on the bench, with Lokonga starting. Mo Elneny, an unused sub at Palace, is another option.
