Edu has submitted a €20 million bid for Joaquín Correa
The Serie A outfit, who lately hired Maurizio Sarri, are hoping to get €30 million (£26 million) for their No.11.
However, it sounds like a deal could possibly be on, as Correa himself has revealed his wish to play in England one day, and also learn English.
According to Solo La Lazio, the South American’s agent has met with Arsenal, so this connection could have legs.
Arsenal plans to sell Alexander Lacazette.
Mikel Arteta didn’t purchase Lacazette himself, and according to the Telegraph, the Gunners are planning to sell the Frenchman this summer.
In that regard, perhaps the north Londoners are looking to take a different method in attack by trading their No.9 with a nippier option with Lazio’s Joaquín Correa.
Correa is much quicker and sharper, and can also work out wide.
In Lacazette’s situation, he’s more of an out-and-out No.9 who roams centrally more often than not – Arteta could have a plan up his sleeve.
Arsenal have reportedly tabled an offer to try and secure Nabil Fekir
According to a statement from Spanish publication AS, Premier League giants Arsenal have taken the first step in their bid to land Nabil Fekir from La Liga club Real Betis by tabling an offer for the 27-year-old.
Fekir has been with Real Betis since 2019, having signed from Ligue 1 bigwigs Olympique Lyon.
In two years with the Spanish outfit, the French attacking midfielder has racked up 71 appearances, contributing 12 goals and 13 assists. While he has been some way off from his best levels, the 27-year-old has still managed to grow into an instrumental member for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Report alleges that Arsenal have already made an offer to Real Betis to sign the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner. However, the said bid is nowhere near close to what the La Liga outfit are seeking for their star man, as Pellegrini is confident of holding on to the Frenchman and build his side around him.
What now remains to be seen is whether Arsenal return with an improved offer for Fekir or decide to examine other possibilities.
Granit Xhaka responds to Arsenal exit talk
Granit Xhaka has declared that he is paying no heed to the speculation about his future as he continues to be associated with a transfer away from Arsenal.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to AS Roma in recent days and some reports have hinted that the Switzerland international is close to a switch to the Serie A side.
Despite all of the speculation, there has not yet been any official statement about the midfielder’s future beyond the summer transfer window and as things stand, he remains an Arsenal player.
Speaking in an interview quoted by the Evening Standard, Xhaka said: “There are always rumours as soon as the transfer market opens but I don’t want to talk about my future.
“I am 100 per cent focused here with the national team… what happens afterwards, you will then get to know about it.”

Arsenal ‘to strengthen interest in Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma’
Arsenal are reportedly set to step up their hunt of Brighton & Hove Albion lynchpin Yves Bissouma amid interest from Liverpool and Leicester City.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has already signaled goodbye to one midfielder in Dani Ceballos following his return to parent club Real Madrid, while Granit Xhaka is probably edging closer towards a move to Roma.
As a result, Arsenal are presumed to strengthen in the middle of the park this summer, and they are deemed to have set their sights on a move for Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli.
The Gunners have long been associated with a swoop for Bissouma, though, and 90Min maintains that the Mali international remains Arteta’s priority midfield target.
However, Leicester and Liverpool – two sides plying their trade in Europe next term – are also believed to be interested in Bissouma, who would reportedly command a £50m transfer fee to leave the Amex Stadium
Tyler Adams linked as possible replacement for Hector Bellerin at Arsenal
RB Leipzig right back Tyler Adams is being viewed as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin, who might be moving on from the Emirates club this summer.
That’s according to a report in The Athletic, which states that Arsenal and their manager Mikel Arteta have a real plan in place for the summer transfer window.
The agenda apparently includes Adams, who has grappled with injuries over the past two seasons, but remains a hopeful talent with loads of potential.
Arsenal have reportedly established contact with Manchester United to explore about the situation of Donny van de Beek.

Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
Arsenal are eyeing a move for Joaquin Correa and have made an opening bid to sign the Lazio star, as per reports in Solo La Lazio.
The 26-year-old scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last season. His recent form has drawn interest from various clubs around Europe with Arsenal and Everton currently leading the race to sign the Argentine player.
According to Solo La Lazio, the north Londoners have already made an opening bid of €20m bid for Correa. The report further allege that the Biancocelesti are charging a fee of around €35m to sell him which is a sum the Gunners are reluctant to pay.
