Arsenal told their £50k-a-week ace is the most underrated player in the PL
Jose Enrique has stated that Gabriel Magalhaes of Arsenal is the most underrated Premier League player.
John Giles, Tim Sherwood, and Jamie Redknapp had previously criticized the £50,000-per-week central defender for making repeated errors at the beginning of the season. However, he has since made a remarkable turnaround.
Consequently, Jose Enrique now considers Gabriel Magalhaes to be the most underrated player in the entire Premier League.
However, especially since the return of club football, the Brazilian central defender has excelled, while some may argue that the esteemed William Saliba has been prone to making mistakes.
Well, onto what Jose Enrique tweeted, “Gabriel Magalhaes from Arsenal [is the most underrated player in the Premier League]. “Everyone [is] talking about [William] Saliba because he is younger etc. but Gabriel has been the best centre-back in the league and he [is] still 25.”
The ex-Liverpool left-back continued, “But it is true that there are many options out there like [Kaoru] Mitoma,James Ward[-Prowse] [Gabriel] Martinelli and many more.”
It’s important to note that there is no definitive way to measure a player’s popularity or reputation among fans and experts. Despite this, Gabriel Magalhaes does not seem to receive as much recognition as William Saliba, according to Jose Enrique.
Magalhaes has also been overlooked for his improvements and reliability as a center-back for Arsenal.
Tim Sherwood criticized his mistake in the first North London Derby this season, calling it “foolish.” While there may be other talented players from non-“Big Six” clubs, the 25-year-old Magalhaes has a chance to become a Premier League champion in May and is certainly a strong contender.
