Arsenal star Leandro Trossard’s dismissive answer to Man City title race question

Leandro Trossard, a player for Arsenal, has stated that the team’s atmosphere has not changed despite their five-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League.

Manchester City narrowed the gap on Saturday with a win against Crystal Palace, causing pressure on Arsenal to respond.

However, Arsenal did not falter and comfortably defeated their opponents, with Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard scoring in a 3-0 victory over Marco Silva’s team.

According to Trossard, nobody at Arsenal is becoming overly optimistic about their chances of winning the Premier League title. In response to a question from Sky Sports about moving five points ahead, the winger downplayed the achievement as merely one small victory in a larger conflict.

“How does that sound? Same as last week,” he said. “It’s 11 finals for us, we take it game-by-game. Like I said last week we have done really well to come back from a difficult position, today we did it different and it’s also about us keeping clean sheets as well, I think.

“Today we did a great game but we keep it to zero and you only need to score one – today was three and we’re really happy with that, like I said we’ll take it game-by-game moving forward.” Next up for City is a couple of distractions from the league campaign.

On Tuesday night, Pep Guardiola’s team will play against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, and on Saturday, they will face Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the FA Cup.
