Arsenal, Spurs target ‘best in Europe after Haaland’, insists Italy legend
Christian Vieri has alleged that Florentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is one of the “best strikers in Europe for his age” amid his connections to Arsenal and Tottenham.
The Serbian striker came through the ranks at Partizan before he signed for Florentina when he was 18-years-old.
Vlahovic had a superb campaign last season. He netted 21 goals from his 37 outings in Serie A.
This form has led to him making his senior debut for Serbia. He has now been capped seven times and he has scored twice for his country.
Arsenal and their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the 21-year-old of late. He is said to be valued at around £52m by Florentina.
Vieri became the world’s most expensive player in 1999 when Inter Milan forked out £32m to sign him from Lazio. He has told La Gazzetta dello Sport (as cited by Football Italia) that Vlahovic is one of the best young strikers in Europe:

“Vlahovic, after Haaland, is the best striker in Europe for his age.
“He is a top striker and will score 20 goals easily next season.”
Arsenal have also been associated with Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham this summer. The 23-year-old has 30 goals from his 79 debuts for the Blues since the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
But he is presumed to leave this summer as he has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea rate him at around £40m.
“He certainly would fit the bill of recent Arsenal signings, young with a point to prove.
“People will question his consistency but what you want is for these young players to get a run in the team.
“Is he going to get a run in a team if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is playing well? Probably not unless Aubameyang can be switched to the left-hand side – although you then need to leave out either Nicolas Pepe or Bukayo Saka.
“With Abraham, there’s potential there and development for a young, young player. So, I think it’s an option [for] Arsenal, although with Alexandre Lacazette being linked with a move away, it could be just a name that has been thrown into a hat.”
