Arsenal receives bad news in their hunt for Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal will strive to restock their squad during the summer transfer window after deciding not to buy any players during the January window in order to better plan for the forthcoming one.

Arsenal appear to have selected Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus as one of their primary summer targets, but the North Londoners may have received bad news in their pursuit of the star.

Gabriel Jesus has been impressive for Manchester City throughout his time at the club, and because Mikel Arteta worked with him when they were both at the Etihad Stadium, as well as Arsenal’s need for a new striker following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and, soon, Alexandre Lacazette, the gunners have resolved to try to sign Jesus in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have received bad news in their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus, as highly regarded transfer news journalist Di Marzio reported via wettfreunde that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola may decide not to sell the Brazilian international despite the imminent arrival of Borussia Dortmund star Haaland.

He thinks that after watching Jesus’ performance against Real Madrid, Guardiola will stop the deal since he is a manager who loves flexibility, which the Brazilian international provides.

This is a major setback for Arsenal, as most sources stated that the club had already held negotiations with Jesus’ representatives, and that all that remained was for talks between the teams to begin once the summer transfer market opened.

So Arsenal will now hope that Gabriel Jesus is still eager to leave when the time comes, because if he isn’t, The Citizens will be able to sign Haaland without having to sell him to raise cash.
