Arsenal new boy Jakub Kiwior sets new club record just weeks after joining

Jakub Kiwior, a newcomer to Arsenal, has reportedly already broken club records just weeks after his arrival.

Following Leandro Trossard through the door, the 22-year-old became Arsenal’s second January signing.

Kiwior, a Poland international who started every World Cup match for Poland in Qatar, was signed to provide competition for Gabriel on the left side of the central defense.

According to recent reports, the defender has broken several records at London Colney, including the record for the quickest short sprint, the highest agility jump, and the longest standing spring.

In previous seasons, Bukayo Saka was regarded as Arteta’s most effective high-speed runner, with Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin also appearing on the list.

In 2015, former defender Bellerin ran the 40-meter sprint in 4.41 seconds, breaking Theo Walcott’s record by 1/100th of a second.

According to LondonWorld, Kiwior has already impressed his teammates and coaches at London Colney in both central defense and midfield positions.

Speaking to Meczyki, Kiwior’s agent, Pawel Zimonczyk, said: “The thing that captured me was the openness of the people who work at Arsenal. You can see that they form one big family there. I think they welcomed Kuba in from the first minute.”

“Kuba’s entrance into the dressing room wasn’t planned, but as soon as Zinchenko saw him he called out: ‘If you’re already with us, you’re already with us!’

“I’m sure it was a cool experience for him too, after such an important win he could feel the atmosphere from the Premier League leaders’ dressing room. I think when he saw what kind of atmosphere there was he already wanted to join in on the pitch, to enjoy Arsenal’s push to reach the next round of the FA Cup [against Manchester City on Friday night].”
