Joe Willock, a loanee at Newcastle from Arsenal is on fire. The 21-year-old has found the back of the net for the sixth consecutive Premier League game.

Willock had a significant role to play for the Gunners last summer, where he made 29 Premier League appearances and 44 in all competitions. He had famously earned his stripes in their first-team squad.

However, Mikel Arteta was less willing to give him chances to impress this season, with Willock having to make the most of his chances given in the Europa League, where he scored three goals in five appearances.

Willock was compelled to leave on loan to seek a regular football, with Newcastle United being the side lucky enough to secure his services, and what an addition to Steve Bruce’s squad he’s proven to be.

By scoring in first-half injury time against Sheffield United, Willock has become the youngest player ever to score six Premier League games on back-to-back games.

Willock is thought to be free to leaving Arsenal despite them being his boyhood club, as he eyes first-team football.

Arteta seemingly won’t give him that, and Newcastle boss Steve Bruce wants to build around him at Newcastle after a strong loan spell since his January move.

It’s alleged that Arsenal may be ready to let Willock go because Mikel Arteta wants to spark a ‘radical overhaul, of the Gunners squad.

The Gunners are looking to raise funds this summer, and Willock is seen as a possible source of funds after his spell with Newcastle.

Should he leave Arsenal, Joe Willock could be as prosperous as Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Son Heung-min if he joins the Magpies on a permanent basis this summer, according to the 21-year-old’s team-mate Allan Saint-Maximin.
